Covers pre-existing conditions for US Citizens: up to $20,000 for travelers age less than 65 years and $2,500 for travelers age 65+ years
Advantages
Can be renewed up to 3 years for travelers aged 14 days to 69 years, 2 years for travelers aged 70-79 years and 1 years for travelers aged 80+ years
Emergency Room deductible($250) is waived if traveler is admitted within 12 hours of incident
Offers optional home country coverage and coverage for athletic sports and hazardous sports at an additional price

Must be bought for a minimum of 3 months

The usage of deductible and coinsurance:
First time you visit the doctor with sudden body pain the bill amounts to $250 for a filling
You will have to pay full $250 as the chosen deductible is $250
A few months later, you meet with a minor accident and get hospitalized to undergo a surgery for $50,000
Now the plan will pay 80% of the first $5,000. ie. Company will pay $4,000 and you will pay $1000
The plan will then pay the remaining eligible expenses
